Brussels, Belgium – Renowned throughout the world for its outstanding Quality, Durability and Reliability, the Toyota Hilux has been a dominant presence in the global pick-up market for some 50 years and has sold more than 16 million units to date.
In celebration of this sales success, the Hilux line-up is now being extended to include a new, top-of-the-range ‘Invincible X’ grade which features numerous styling enhancements to emphasise its status as the new flagship of the model range.
The Hilux Invincible X is instantly recognisable through a unique exterior styling pack which incorporates a new front guard, a chrome finish to the bonnet air vent, front fog lights and rear lights, and dedicated badges on the front doors and tail gate.
A choice of five different alloy wheels includes two new, 17 inch options: a 6-spoke design created by Toyota Racing Development (TRD) and a 6-spoke wheel finished in matt black.
The Hilux Invincible X’s exterior may be further enhanced by the addition of side steps and a choice of deck-cover solutions including chrome over-bars with aluminium rolled locking cover or a selection of hard tops.
On entering the car, the driver and passenger are greeted by dedicated, ‘Invincible’ scuff plates, while the interior itself is upgraded with three new, bi-tone leather upholsteries in Dark Red, Grey or Tan which feature an “Invincible X” logo embossed on the front headrests.
In addition, the centre arm rest, hand brake and gear shift knob are also leather upholstered, and the gear lever surround is finished in bright chrome.
As an option, the Hilux Invincible X can be equipped with Toyota Hotspot. Installed out of sight in the glove box or centre console, the system turns on automatically when the vehicle is started, allowing internet connectivity for up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices within the car.
The new Hilux Invincible X is available in Extra Cab or Double Cab body styles and with a choice of four powertrains: a 2.5 litre D-4D engine with manual transmission and either 2WD or 4WD, and a 3.0 litre D-4D unit with either manual or automatic transmission and 4WD.
The Hilux Invincible X will go on sale throughout Europe from July 2015.
